I know it's water under the bridge but I'm cringing at letting Alex Gonzalez go and adding Julio Lugo. The buildup I've heard about Lugo sounds a lot like the buildup I heard for Edgar Renteria going into the 2005 season. All he did was lead MLB with 30errors and he didn't hit the way we were told he did.
Dice-K looks like a good idea. He rose to the occasion in the WBC for Japan. Hope springs eternal!

Yea, nice Christmas pick-up in Hernandez, eh?
@Anonymous: He didn't really "rise to the occasion" for the WBC. That's kinda just how he pitches on a normal basis.
Something I could definitely get used to on a regular basis in Boston.

i like our chances this year. i think lugo is a grat pickup. bit more concerned with jd drew. not with health issues, but don't think he is the best hitter for fenway. still, can't wait for basball to start up
